Terms of Service

These terms of service ("Terms") cover your use of Equipe Online at online.equipe.com and the Equipe Online mobile apps for iOS and Android ("Service"), provided by Equipe AB ("we", "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

We try to keep these terms readable and fair. If something is unclear, email us at info@equipe.com and we will explain.

What the Service does

Equipe Online lets you follow equestrian shows: start lists, results, live scoring, and more. The competition data displayed on our Service is provided by show organizers using Equipe's software. We do our best to present it accurately, but we are not responsible for errors or omissions in data submitted by organizers.

Your account

You can browse most of the Service without an account. Creating an account gives you access to features like following riders and horses, pinning favorites, and receiving push notifications.

When you sign in, we send a one-time password to your email. Do not share this code with others. We cannot be liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized access to your account.

You must provide accurate information when creating your account and keep it up to date.

Acceptable use

Use the Service in good faith and as intended. Specifically, you agree not to:

• Break or attempt to break the security of the Service
• Use the Service to distribute malware or harmful content
• Work around rate limits, sign-in, or any other technical measure
• Use endpoints that are not part of our documented API
• Collect personal data in bulk for a purpose the riders in those results would not expect
• Interfere with the Service or impose an unreasonable load on our infrastructure
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

If you want data automatically, ask us rather than crawl the site. The API is documented at /api/docs, and "Building on our API" below says what we can give and how to apply. We would rather hand you access we can support than have you take what you need.

Other endpoints exist because our own site and apps need them. They are not a public interface, they change without notice, and they are not yours to build on.

If you violate these terms, we may suspend or terminate your account.

Connecting other apps to your account

You can let other apps use your account through our API. Connecting an app gives it your own data and nothing more. You decide what each app gets and you can disconnect it at any time. What an app does with your data after that is between you and whoever built it. Our Privacy Policy covers what an app can see.

Building on our API

If you want to build on Equipe Online you are welcome to. Developer access covers apps that act for a signed-in user, with their permission and using their own data. That includes competition data that belongs to them: the rider profiles connected to their account, and the results and documents that follow from those. It does not cover bulk access to other people's.

Apply for developer access and tell us who you are and what you have in mind. We read every application. If we approve you:

• Only ask for the access you need, and only use the data for the purpose you told us about. If that purpose changes, tell us.
• Take what the API gives you and nothing else. Working around it to reach data you were not granted is not allowed, even where it is technically possible.
• Do not sell the data and do not pass it on to anyone else.
• Delete a user's data when they disconnect your app, and when they ask you to.
• Keep the data safe. If it leaks, tell us within 24 hours.
• Publish a privacy policy that says what you do with the data, and keep it reachable at the address you registered.
• Do not build something Equipe already offers. The API is for adding to what we do, not for competing with it.
• Do not make it look like your app is built or endorsed by us.
• Keep your credentials secret. They are yours, and what happens with them is on you.

Under data protection law you are responsible for the personal data you collect, in your own right and not on our behalf. Developer access is ours to give and ours to take back: we can withdraw it at any time, and we will tell you why. Breaking these rules, harming users, or putting an unreasonable load on our infrastructure are the surest ways to lose it. The API will keep changing, and we cannot promise it stays the same.

Intellectual property

We own all rights to the Service itself: the design, code, and functionality. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of the Service without our written permission.

Competition data displayed on the Service is owned by the respective organizers. Your personal content (such as profile information) remains yours.

Service availability

We work hard to keep the Service running smoothly, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. Downtime may occur for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our control. You can check current service status at status.equipe.com.

We may modify, update, or discontinue features of the Service at any time. If we make changes that significantly affect your use, we will do our best to give you notice.

Account cancellation and data deletion

You can delete your account at any time through your profile settings. When you do, we remove all your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

We also automatically delete inactive accounts after 2 years of inactivity, with an email warning sent 1 month before deletion.

Privacy

Your privacy matters to us. Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we handle it. It is part of these Terms.

Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not make warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, about the Service or the accuracy of the data displayed on it.

To the extent permitted by law, Equipe AB is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. This includes, but is not limited to, reliance on competition data displayed on the Service.

We are not liable for apps other people build on our API, including ones we approved. If you connect an app to your account, that is between you and the developer.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Sweden.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. If we make significant changes, we will do our best to notify you.
