Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 6, 2026
Equipe AB ("we", "us") runs Equipe Online at online.equipe.com and the Equipe Online mobile apps for iOS and Android. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we handle it.
The short version: we collect as little as possible, we don't sell your data to anyone, and we don't use third-party tracking or advertising services. If you connect another app to your account, you decide what it can see, and you can disconnect it whenever you want.
What we collect and why
Account information
When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. We use this to identify you in the app and to send you important notifications about your account.
Device information for push notifications
If you use our mobile app and allow push notifications, we store a device token so we can deliver notifications to your device. These tokens are sent through:
- Apple Push Notification service (APNs) for iOS devices. Apple's privacy policy.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) for Android devices. Firebase's privacy policy.
We only use these services to deliver push notifications. We do not use Firebase Analytics or any other Firebase features.
Analytics
We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics tool that we host ourselves. Plausible does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track you across sites. All data stays on our own servers. We use it to understand how many people visit our site, which pages are popular, and what browsers, operating systems, and devices (mobile or desktop) people use. Nothing more.
Error tracking
We use Honeybadger to monitor errors in our application. When something goes wrong, Honeybadger collects technical information about the error (such as the page URL, browser type, and stack trace) so we can find and fix the problem. This data is used solely for debugging.
Log data
Like most web services, our servers automatically log basic request information: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. We use this to keep the service running and to investigate problems. We do not use log data for tracking or profiling.
Cookies
We use cookies only for essential functionality, like keeping you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Third-party services
Here is a complete list of third-party services we use to run Equipe Online. Apps that you connect to your account yourself are a separate thing, and we cover those in the next section.
- Heroku (Salesforce) — hosting, located in the EU (Ireland). Privacy policy.
- Apple Push Notification service — delivering push notifications to iOS devices.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) — delivering push notifications to Android devices.
- Honeybadger — error tracking and monitoring.
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook pixels, or any other advertising or tracking service.
Connecting other apps to your account
You can let other apps use your Equipe Online account, either to sign you in or to read your data. Connecting an app gives it your own account and nothing more: your name and email, the riders and horses you follow, your notifications, and documents for the rider profiles you have access to. It can never change your email or sign in as you.
Nothing happens until you say yes. We show you who built the app and what it is asking for, and we review every developer before they get access. After that they handle your data under their own privacy policy, so read it first. If they work outside the EU, your data can end up outside the EU too.
Your profile settings list the apps you have connected. Remove one and its access stops right away. Whatever it already collected is theirs to delete, so ask them if you want it gone.
Where your data is stored
Our servers are hosted on Heroku in Ireland (EU). Your data is stored and processed within the European Union. Apps you connect to your account are the exception, as described above.
Data retention and account deletion
We automatically delete inactive accounts after 2 years of inactivity. Before deletion, we will:
- Send you an email warning 1 month before your account is scheduled for deletion
- Allow you to keep your account by simply signing in
You can also delete your account at any time through your profile settings.
When an account is deleted, we remove all associated data: your profile information, connections to rider profiles, following data, and notification settings. This only affects your Equipe Online account and does not impact accounts on other Equipe services (such as entry.equipe.com or app.equipe.com).
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct any inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Export your data — you can download all your data directly from your profile settings at any time
- See which apps you have connected to your account, and disconnect any of them
For any other requests, contact us at info@equipe.com.
Children's privacy
Our service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will remove it.
Links to other sites
Our service may link to external websites. We have no control over the content or privacy practices of those sites.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page.
